Job Description
    • Interpretation and use of documentation - The Driver must pick up the delivery invoices and be able to interpret the activities required by that information.  This will include understanding the necessary stops to be made and what merchandise is to be delivered to each customer.  Additionally, the Driver has documentation that must be dealt with while at the customer’s location as well as after their return to the warehouse.
    • Driving delivery vehicle - The Driver must be qualified to operate the various types of delivery vehicles used to transport the merchandise.  This will include adding fuel as necessary and some preventative maintenance items such as checking tires and oil.  Must also be able to monitor trailer temperatures.
    • Delivering merchandise - The Driver will average from 15 to 30 delivery stops each work-shift.  They must off-load the merchandise at the customer’s location and move it into the building.  This is done by manually loading the merchandise onto a hand-truck then rolling it off the truck and into the building.  They will occasionally have to remove merchandise from the customer’s location and return it to the warehouse.  This merchandise, and that which was on the truck that could not be delivered, will be manually removed from the truck by the Driver.
Qualifications
    • Must currently have a Class A CDL issued by the state of legal residence.
    • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age with 1 years recent tractor/trailer experience or 6 months foodservice delivery experience
    • Have experience and training to safely drive and be able to determine whether the vehicle is safely loaded
    • Meet all DOT requirements including passing a D.O.T. physical, drug test, and Road Test
    • Have n more than 2 traffic convictions in past two years.  Not more than one of these may be a serious violation (as defined by D.O.T.) or the result of an accident (Company or private).  Cannot have a D.U.I. conviction within the past 3 years, regardless of the type of vehicle operated (Company or private).  Cannot have had driver’s license suspended for traffic violations within the past three years.
    • Cannot have been terminated by previous employer for failure to comply with safety regulations or for accident involvement.
    • Ability to lift and carry product 26-100 pounds, frequently/daily
    • Flexible with start times and work days
