Job Description
    • Manage Produce Buyers
    • Merchandising for all items in category and grow sales
    • Inventory Management (Service level, Turns, Inventory $)
    • Minimize excess and obsolete inventory
    • Pricing of product to Sales (many weekly market items with frequent change)
    • Category Management
    • Sales Calls
    • Sales Training
    • Create Sales Aids for TM’s
    • Food Show set-up and participation
    • Vendor relations
    • Select and evaluate new item offerings from vendors
    • Marketing efforts related to category
    • Communicate closely with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance
Qualifications
    • 3 years experience in Produce Purchasing/Merchandising/Marketing required
    • Supervisory experience preferred
    • Problem solving  and Decision making skills to resolve customer/vendor issues
    • Strong communication and follow-up skills
    • Customer Focused and Strong Customer Relations Skills
    • Execution of processes from start to finish
    • Strong computer skills
    • Good math aptitude
    • High School Diploma required, College degree preferred
    • Ability to successfully communicate and interact with the Sales Force
