Summary: Achieve sales growth goals through new business acquisition from self generated and assigned prospects. Establish primary position relationship with majority of new business acquisitions.
- Identify and pursue qualified prospects that have the potential to meet agreed upon unit level sales volume goals.
- Research the current and historic business and business practices of qualified prospects in order to develop comprehensive business acquisition strategy.
- Develop business relationships with prospects, identifying business needs and foodservice distributor performance expectations.
- Develop and create company presentations specifically addressing identified business needs and performance expectations of prospects.
- As prospects become customers, be the "key" contact for the customer, overseeing the Roll-Out Schedule and only turning over "key" contact responsibility once our performance is meeting and or exceeding customer expectations.
- Conduct regular and ongoing business reviews (CBRs) with acquired business.
- Communicate with urgency to VP Sales all perceived "roadblocks" to new business generation whether as a result of current processes or a result Division personnel.
- Develop "strategies" to target prospects that can be trained to and duplicated by others within Sales Management
- Based on both internal and external experiences, accept responsibility to contribute to our goal of enhancing "Customer Value" with regular and specific "process improvement" recommendations.
- Provide VP Sales with ongoing status report and business plan
- Look for opportunities to enhance our image and "Brand" in the Houston Market
- Explore association memberships as opportunities to identify and meet prospects
- Utilize Prospecting Tools to track progress, e.g. "Pipeline"

Work Environment:
Works in both office environment (20%) and field environment (80%) includes traveling alone or with Sales Managers visiting customer establishments to solicit sales. Hours range depending on business opportunity requirements Monday thru Friday (occasional weekend as customer demand dictates).
Physical Demands:
The employee must be capable of mobile activity due to the nature of traveling. Must have the ability to communicate with clients. They are required to lift and carry on a regular basis up to 20 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs. |
- Education (Minimum Needed): College or industry work related field experience
- Experience (Minimum Needed): 5 years experience - foodservice sales and sales management
- Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: Exceptional sales and relationship building skills
- Special Skills: Communications, facilitation, presentation and persuasiveness skills
