Job Description

Responsibilities:
Responsible for direct supervision of Healthcare Account Managers, Healthcare Specialists, and LTC Specialists.  Accountable for established Division healthcare sales goals through effective management of Healthcare Account Managers, Healthcare Specialists, LTC Specialists, and HC focused Territory Managers (if applicable). Responsible for targeting new healthcare business opportunities.  Manages sales plan and strategic goal development for direct reports and Division healthcare plan.  Manages the hiring process, performance review and professional development of direct reports.  This position has limited personal accounts, but develops strategic and tactical relationships with corporate customer representatives, key customers, and potential customers to ensure consistent execution of contracts, business growth, customer satisfaction and customer issue resolution. Responsible for the development and execution of quality sales processes, sale tracking and analysis, contract management, and training within the Division for healthcare.  Matrix accountability and serves as key contact to corporate healthcare health systems in areas of national healthcare contract execution at the division.  Responsible for mastering all USF tools designed to drive corporate initiatives and training and implementing these tools through out the Division.

Responsible for development and execution of Division healthcare business plan and goal setting to achieve overall business plans.  Areas of management are sales growth, profit, contract integrity, and working capital measures. Lead new business growth strategies.  Implement growth strategy by planning, managing and utilizing multiple resources available through the Division, zone, region and corporate offices.  Outline strategic plan in an annual operating/business plan to be submitted to supervisor.  Responsible for ongoing market and sales potential analysis.   Actively track and communicate results with Division, zone and corporate leadership.  .

Serves as point of contact for accounts and sales representatives for addressing and resolving customer needs relative to strategic business factors/solutions, service requirements, contract maintenance and contractual product specifications. Utilizes available systems and effectively manages the existing operations support structure. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of regular customer business reviews at a facility and IDN level.  Assure that product records, contracts and price list information processes are established and fully functioning. Build an environment that focuses the Division and sales team on quality sales process, new ideas and operational solutions for the customer.  Incorporate value added solutions and associated resources into the local business model.  Establishes and manages multiple layers of relationships within the integrated delivery network, hospital or health facility environment – foodservice, environmental service, support service, materials management and administration and assures that the Account Manager or HC Specialist does the same.  Establishes and manages GPO field representative relationships. Coordinate and assures integration of value added SYNERGY™ programs in appropriate accounts utilizing the Cost Management Specialist. 

Responsible for ongoing supervision, training and development of direct reports in the areas of healthcare knowledge and expertise, general business acumen, Division based business practices, influence management, sales skills and customer relationship management.  Utilize and manage implementation of all available resources through the Division, zone, region and corporate offices to support training and development for healthcare team.  Responsible for driving Healthcare Segment growth through HC Mangers and Street reps. Responsible for driving CMA & NMA compliance through Healthcare Managers & Territory Managers that are managing HC.

Annually develop and implement locally based marketing strategies to support healthcare growth and customer satisfaction in the areas of education, new product ideas, cost/revenue concepts. Develop budget and funding plans to support activities.  Layout cost –benefit logic for Division leadership.

Qualifications
    •   Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience. 
    •  Three to five years healthcare foodservice or general business experience, selling experience.
    •  Strong leadership skills, decision-making skills; strong problem solving skills
    •  Ability to influence management, ability to manage others
    •  Analytical skills, effective written and verbal communication skills
    •  Knowledge of the foodservice industry/operations and products
    •  Knowledge of healthcare/industry priorities and needs
    •  Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
