U.S. Foodservice - Roanoke Division is searching for a Selector (order picker) for our Night Warehouse. This full time position is Sun – Thurs with shift beginning at 6:00 pm.
Selector job duties are to fill orders by locating the required item in the “pick slots,” which are kept filled by the lift operators, and load them onto pallets. Once a pallet is loaded, the order selector brings it to the assigned loading dock where the loaders shrink-wrap the pallets and load them into the trucks for delivery.
- HEAVY LIFTING REQUIRED; Must be capable of lifting up to 100 pounds; lift 35-40 pounds repetitively
- Ability to work in changing environments, ranging from very warm to very cold (-5º) temperatures; protective equipment provided
- Maintain reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must pass minimum job related employment assessment tests Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical and pass a drug screen
- Must possess an acceptable criminal and work history background
- Previous pallet jack / fork lift experience preferred
